Sunday 8th March was International Women’s Day and Roy couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate it than getting naked in the world record breaking Figs Naked Skinny Dip.
The 2015 Figs Naked Skinny Dip took place at South Beach, Fremantle and managed to amass 790 free willing skinny dippers, breaking the previous record of 744 held by New Zealand.
Although Roy didn’t need any encouragement to get naked in public, he also thought the campaign and its message, “celebrate every body” was so important in today’s society,
‘I always enjoy giving back to the community but I truly align myself with the Butterfly Foundation’s vision of celebrating health, well-being and diversity.’
‘I think today there is so much pressure to look perfect and an event like this which has brought out people young and old of every size and shape, is a positive step towards embracing yourself for who you are.’
The Butterfly Foundation is committed to raising awareness about eating disorders and providing support to anyone affected by eating disorders and negative body image, to find out more about their work visit their website here
