In 2016 our CEO, Roy Mellon (a former serving member of the Australian Defence Force), graduated from the PLYOB program.
PLYOB is an initiative of Prince’s Charities Australia that equips our servicemen with the required skills to start and successfully operate a business enterprise post their service. This year Proactiv sponsored a defence force member to attend the program.
Each year Proactiv’s CEO Roy Mellon shakes off his sleeping bag to participate in the St Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for Vinnies homeless services. Roy has participated 3 years in a row and plans to continue to support this initiative.
The Butterfly Foundation
In 2015, Roy got his kit off on International Women’s Day to help raise funds and awareness for the Butterfly Foundation.
The Butterfly Foundation represents all people affected by eating disorders and negative body image – a person with the illness, their family and their friends. As a leading national voice in supporting their needs, Butterfly highlights the realities of seeking treatment for recovery, and advocates for improved services from both government and independent sources.
